My daughter joined a choir and recently and complained that the bag she was using was too small to hold all her music. So, I made her this bag. It’s mainly Hazel’s designs from the Summer Meadow collection with a few additions of wildflowers from my stash and a couple of little personal additions e.g. the little mouse. Assuming it would need washing eventually, I washed the fabric before embroidering but it was impossible to press without creases. I backed it with fusible fleece as I couldn’t find the proper bag stuff I bought ages ago – needless to sat it showed itself as soon as I’d finished the bag! Sue from Engineered in Stitches kindly digitised the sheet music to “I’d like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony” The embroidery alone took over 18 hours. It took me a few weeks to complete due to undergoing cancer treatment but it was very therapeutic to make and my daughter loves it.

That is amazing! Well done. It can be really difficult to source the right stabilizers and backings or remember what we used previously. Keep a project diary is a good idea and labelling all the rolls of "stuff" we have along with where we bought them helps!!!! Hope you are feeling better soon and able to put the treatment behind you. Again I love what you have produced and am grateful that you have shared it with us all.

This is so beautiful. A real labour of love.
