Update on my layout! Stitched on heavily starched handkerchief weight linen on one layer of water soluble stabilizer. It doesn't show in the picture but all of the outline leaves are copper metallic thread. This was a nice fast little project!

Also forgot to mention that after the embroidery design was done, I added another layer of linen on the back to hide the stitching and to protect them. Then I stitched the satin border.

That has turned out perfectly. I know how difficult it is to photograph embroidery!!

I think so with the right stabilizer and needle.
