I will try this post again. The felt is also hooped because you will need to cut through it. Second, skip the OAS and sthtch everything out. Third, remove the hoop from the machine. Cut 1/4 inch slits above the center top of the nutcracker figure. Make sure that the slit is at least the width of your embroidery foot above the figure. see pictures.
